You may request deletion of your uploaded photographs at any time by contacting our office.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), access controls, and secure storage practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. 7. Data Retention

Contact form submissions and Smile Quiz responses are retained for up to 36 months from the date of submission unless you request earlier deletion. Virtual consultation photographs are retained for 12 months unless you request earlier deletion or become an active patient, in which case retention is governed by applicable dental record retention requirements under California law.

8. Your Rights Under California Law (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

Once you become an established patient of Jon Marashi, DDS, APDC, your protected health information (PHI) will be governed by our separate Notice of Privacy Practices as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). A copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices will be provided to you at your first in-office visit and is available upon request.

10. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through this Site. Certain features on this Site, including virtual consultation smile analysis, use automated software to process uploaded photographs and generate preliminary observations. These automated observations are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a dental examination, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation. All processing is performed using secure, encrypted connections, and your photographs are not used to train any third-party models or shared with service providers for purposes beyond generating your individual consultation response.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
