Cost & Investment
How much do porcelain veneers cost in Los Angeles?
+
Hand-sculpted porcelain veneers are a bespoke, fee-for-service treatment and pricing varies case by case. The number of teeth, the materials selected from The Marashi Collection, shade development, and the complexity of your case all move the figure. Dr. Marashi provides a written, itemized estimate at the $475 consultation so you see the full plan and investment before you commit. Read an honest breakdown of what drives the price.
What is the consultation fee?
+
The consultation is $475. It includes a one-on-one evaluation with Dr. Marashi and a personalized written treatment plan with transparent pricing.
Does the practice accept dental insurance?
+
The practice is fee-for-service and does not bill insurance directly. Most cosmetic veneer work is not covered by dental insurance regardless of the provider. For general dentistry procedures that may be covered, a detailed receipt is provided so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
Are payment plans available?
+
The practice partners with third-party financing providers that offer monthly payment plans for qualifying patients. Options are discussed transparently at the consultation alongside the written estimate.
Porcelain Veneers
How long do porcelain veneers last?
+
With proper care, hand-sculpted porcelain veneers typically last 15 to 20 years or longer. Longevity depends on material quality, bonding technique, bite alignment, and home care. Dr. Marashi's veneers are bonded under surgical-grade magnification for maximum durability.
Do porcelain veneers look natural?
+
When designed by a specialist, yes. Dr. Marashi's 'Quiet Luxury' approach factors in your skin tone, lip movement, age, and facial structure so the result reads as a natural smile rather than 'veneers.' His exclusive Marashi Collection shades replicate the translucency of real enamel.
How many sessions does the veneer process take?
+
The process typically requires two sessions over roughly two weeks. The first session includes tooth preparation, digital scans, and temporaries. The second is precision bonding of your custom veneers with in-mouth adjustments for the final fit.
Are porcelain veneers reversible?
+
Traditional porcelain veneers require a small amount of enamel removal and are considered permanent. No-prep veneers, when you are a candidate, are minimally invasive and theoretically reversible because little to no tooth structure is removed.
Do veneers damage your real teeth?
+
When done correctly by a specialist, traditional veneers remove only a thin layer of enamel and do not damage the underlying tooth. Poorly done veneers can cause gum irritation, decay at the margin, or bite issues, which is why prep technique and material choice matter so much.
No-Prep Veneers
What are no-prep veneers?
+
No-prep veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth with minimal or no enamel removal. They are an option for patients with smaller, set-back, or worn teeth where adding thin material improves the smile without grinding tooth structure away.
Am I a candidate for no-prep veneers?
+
Candidacy depends on tooth position, size, and shape. Patients with already-protruding or crowded teeth are usually not candidates because adding material would push the smile forward. Dr. Marashi evaluates candidacy honestly at the consultation. See the full prep vs no-prep comparison.
Do no-prep veneers look bulky?
+
Not when designed properly. The risk of a bulky look comes from over-using no-prep on patients who weren't candidates in the first place. Dr. Marashi declines no-prep cases where adding material would compromise the aesthetic.
Veneer Redos & Failed Prior Work
Can bad or bulky veneers be replaced?
+
Yes. Veneer redos are one of the practice's specialties. Bulky, opaque, chiclet-shaped, or poorly shaded veneers can be carefully removed, often with a specialized laser to preserve tooth structure, and replaced with hand-sculpted porcelain that looks natural. Learn more about veneer redos.
What are the signs of a bad veneer job?
+
Common signs include teeth that look too white, too opaque, too uniform, or visibly bulky from the side; dark lines at the gumline; bite discomfort; and gum irritation. See our seven-point checklist for spotting bad veneers.
How is a veneer redo different from a first set?
+
Redos require more diagnostic work, careful removal of the existing veneers, and often address bite, gum, or color issues left by the prior dentist. Treatment time and cost are usually higher than a first set for the same number of teeth.

What is the recovery time after getting veneers?
+
There is essentially no downtime. Most patients return to work and normal activities the same day. Mild gum tenderness and temperature sensitivity for two to seven days is typical and resolves on its own.
How do I care for porcelain veneers at home?
+
Brush twice daily with a non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, and use a nightguard if you grind. Avoid biting hard objects like ice or fingernails. Continue regular hygiene cleanings that are safe for veneers.
